Hello and welcome to my website. I'm Peter Bethge and was born in Brentwood, Essex in the U.K. I was brought up in the Church of England but, later on in life, turned to the Humanist Association - but found that it wasn't for me. I wanted something, somewhere in between - perhaps I'm still looking!

Since 2007 I have been a member of the Association of Independent Celebrants (AOIC) which is a very worthwhile Association and also gives the general public a point of contact if they have any queries or problems relating to funeral ceremonies and the people who can conduct them or may want information about a ceremony that they are about to conduct for a loved one.

I have worked in the funeral business, covering all aspects, including arranging and conducting funerals. Having lost well loved family members myself, I know the sort of emotions people are experiencing at this sad time, and so I feel I can help them in a very understanding and caring way.

I started Personal Funeral Ceremonies to help people who wanted more than a totally non religious or a totally religious service. The ceremony can be tailor made to suit you or your loved one's wishes.
