These days many people feel that sending flowers to a funeral is a waste and that the money would be better given to a local or even international charitable organisation whether it be for children, elderly folk, a hospice, medical or even animals.
If your loved one has been hospitalised and needed urgent medical attention, you may well have already thought of where your donation would be best given. Maybe you are an animal lover so might like to think about the local animal sanctuary.
Below you will find some of the most well known organisations, some of these specifically cover the Essex area, so you may need to look in your Yellow Pages to find something nearer to your area.
Once you have decided which is the charity for you - please inform your Funeral Director. Most Funeral Directors will collate all the cheques and cash that come in and will deal with it for you and so taking another worry off your hands.
You, yourself, may even want to arrange something very worthwhile before your time comes to leave this earth!
Some of the organisations listed below have links to their websites - so please run your pointer over them to see if a little hand appears.
