Losing A Pet

Image:

An adored and well loved pet doesn't have to be forgotten when it dies. This time can be as stressful, even more so in many cases than when we lose our closest and most dearest loved one, and whether it be a dog, cat, rabbit, bird, horse etc., you can still say your final goodbye in much the same way as for a well loved and much thought of person.

For instance, your pet can either be cremated or buried. You can even have a service or ceremony for it in the Garden/Field/Pet Cemetery and mark the spot with a memorial of some description. There are many Monumental Masons & Funeral Directors who could supply information and help you get what you want.

At the end of the day we are human and grief and emotion can take over. So again, just as we do when we lose a well loved person, we can also get help from a Bereavement Counsellor to support us - to see us through these sad times.

So, if you think that you may need help on the counselling side, then please click on the link below.

Nowadays, there are many Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria in the U.K which you will find under Pets or Crematoria in your Yellow Pages or online.

BEAUTIFUL DOG IN MY LOCKET

Beautiful dog in my locket
That lies next to my heart
I will always love you
As I did from the start

Now I hold you in my arms
Your breath still warm against my hand
Our hearts still beat together
And I wonder if you understand

Through the hours that I held you
Before the light did leave your soul
I didn’t know of a way to keep you
Forever in my hold

And so, your life slipped out of mine
On a quiet spring like day
My beautiful dog in my locket
That lies next to my heart

I will always love you
Even though we had to part

My Loving Horse

Not just an animal, a friend
I talked to him
He understood
No criticism
No hatred
Just a friend, until the end
My Horse.

Little Tabby

I loved my little Tabby
Her coat was always so warm.
I never ever hurt her
And she never did me no harm
I never pulled her tail,
Or ever drove her away
She only ever wanted
To play, play, play.

My Lovely Friend

You were the loveliest and most beautiful bird,
With the sweetest voice that I have ever heard.
You had been with me for lots of years,
So, I knew that in the end there would be many tears.

Goodbye my lovely friend.
